Self inspection is carried out by a team by Q.A Chemist with representative each of various departments. Additional persons may be included as appropriate.
It is a system of rolling audit covering the aspects of
- Building & Ground and Equipments
- Personnel training
- Factory sanitation and personal hygiene
- Documentation
- Manufacturing Procedure
- Quality Management
- Use of Computers
It is also includes compliance of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice)
The self inspection system verifies that each activity of the manufacturing unit conforms to the Quality Standards to be maintained by the activity.
The system is effective, since; the self inspection is carried out objectively as conducted by any external agency or statutory body.
Every single aspect of inspection is recorded and follow up action whether carried out or not is verified as the first during the subsequent inspection.
The results are documents and discussed at a joint meeting of all those responsible.
It is the responsibility of the Heads of PRODUCTION & QUALITY ASSURANCE to implement the areas of improvement identified. That the implementation is satisfactory is verified during subsequent inspection.
